Recent conversation with EJ and a student who stayed with us for a couple of days.
EJ: (at the dinner table) My daddy can cook too...
Student: Oh yea, what kind of foods does he cook?
EJ: Um. Um. Well, chicken nuggets, fish sticks, french fries. Oh yea, and spaghetti and macoroni and cheese.
Student: (smiling and slightly giggling) wow, your daddy sounds like a great cook.
Enter Me: yea, my hubby used to be an assistant chef at a local restaurant when we were dating. (smirk)
Student: Wow! So you married a chef?
Me: (laughing) No, I dated one! When the ring went on his finger, I became the cook!
