The truth is God provides for his faithful, He will meet our every need. We don't need to go out and demand it, He provides it because He loves us and cares for us. The Lord will bless us but it is not for us to build our kingdom. He blesses us so that we can bless those around us. Blessed to be a blessing. But we do not do what we do to be blessed and get a reward. We do it out of love for Christ and obedience to the Holy Spirit.
Great words. Some people who follow God do gain material wealth (like Abraham and Solomon), but so many don't (like the apostles). How sad that so often our greediness shines brighter than the Light.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30690621.post-68600548046671465062007-03-23T10:28:00.000-05:002007-03-23T10:28:00.000-05:00preach it sister!preach it sister!Jada's Gigihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16788954125336097153noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30690621.post-28867181964767372192007-03-23T09:16:00.000-05:002007-03-23T09:16:00.000-05:00Thanks for your comment on my blog. Thanks for your comment on my blog.Rita Locahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09961929692808138092noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30690621.post-15226664829679869942007-03-22T15:22:00.000-05:002007-03-22T15:22:00.000-05:00WOW! You said it so well - I agree with "cindy" and you should post that to the editor of said magazine.

Got your beautiful note today - you are so right, there's something especially touching about a hand-written note. A fictional book that is similar to this, and has recently got me thinking is "Visitation" by Frank Peretti.

It's all about someone coming and claiming to be Christ, and how many people follow him, and the "good" (or not so good) things that happen when they "believe" in this false Christ.

The world is full of this, and I too am tired of it and it breaks my heart. I saw on a special (like Dateline or Outsiders or something) the other day a man named "Jesus" (hispanic in background) who claimed to be the second "coming" of Christ. He really believed he was. And you know what? He has thousands of followers, and partially b/c of his "sin" philosophy. He claims that once Jesus died on the cross there is no more sin; therefore you can live how you want.

Sorry to ramble, but just getting the point across that I too have sene many things like this that disturb me!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30690621.post-89173460129535761172007-03-21T07:38:00.000-05:002007-03-21T07:38:00.000-05:00I found you thru Bek's blog. Excellent question. Which sounds more Biblical? I think it's obvious...Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02363410058108479951noreply@blogger.com
